We still have tickets, but time is running out.
Final deadline for entries is now Thursday, August 30, 2007 by 8 pm.
Tickets must be picked up by 5 pm Friday, August 31, 2007.
Our office will be closed after that through Labor Day.
Since you took the time to stop by,
we'd like to give you a chance to win two (2) General Admission tickets to the 2007 Oregon State Fair, running Friday, August 24 through Labor Day, Monday, September 3, 2007. The tickets are good for admission into the Fair on any of those days. You might want to follow the link we've provided above for more details on activities and entertainment.
We do have some eligibility requirements and entry instructions, so please read the following carefully. We want to give as many people as we can an opportunity to get into the Fair on us.
ELIGIBILITYTo enter, you must be 18 years or older and have some form of valid photo ID, with your name and current address. Unless someone here can personally vouch for you, if you win, you will need to bring your ID with you to pick up your tickets. You need to be currently residing in Marion County, Oregon or Linn County, Oregon.
We'll allow one winner per household or address, so if someone already entered where you live, that’s it. You better be nice to them so they’ll take you.
We will only take entries via email (details provided below), so please don't call or drop by our office to enter. We will only accept one entry per email address, too.
You don't need to be a subscriber or regular purchaser of the paper to enter.
Finally, any employees or paid contributors (freelancers, contract employees, weather reporters, etc.), past or present, of Country Mile Media, Inc., or its papers, the Jefferson Review and Scio News, are not eligible to win. Neither are the parents, siblings, spouses, significant others, in-laws, or children of the above mentioned folks eligible to win.
HOW TO ENTERSend an email to (click on)
publisher@jeffersonreview.net with the following information:
1. Put OSF tickets in the subject line
2. Your name
3. Your home address
4. Your home phone number
5. In 100 words or less, tell us what you will be doing at the Fair. (We're the newspaper. We're nosey.)
WINNERSWinners will be selected on a first come, first served basis. There are a limited number of tickets available, so when they're gone, they're gone. We'll announce on this site when they run out.
Winners will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours of when they entered (based on our email server's date and time stamp) supplying further instructions as to how they can pick up their tickets. Pick-up times will take place during regular office hours only.
Winners must be able to pick up their tickets in person, or prearrange for another adult (18 years or older) to pick them up. We will not be mailing or delivering tickets. The designated ticket picker-upper will need to provide photo ID, as well, as specified above, unless, of course, we know who they are. If you don't pick up your tickets, or can't prove who you are, we'll put the tickets back into play for someone else to win.
Winners must be willing to have their name and photo (if one is taken) published in the Jefferson Review or on this website, along with, if we choose to, their essay about what they'll do at the Fair. We will not print addresses, other than the town, nor will we print phone numbers. In sending us an email to enter, you agree to have your name, your photo and your small essay published on this site or in the Jefferson Review.
LEGALITIESThe tickets to be given away are for admission only to the Fair. Any paid concerts, rides, etc., are the sole responsibility of the fairgoer.
We are not responsible for any email, server, network or internet glitches that might take place, sending your entry into the virtual unknown.
We cannot be held liable for winners’ experiences at the Fair, but it’s our hope they will be positive.
The personal information we've requested is for identification purposes only. We will not use it to solicit you further, nor will we sell it or give it to anyone else for any reason (other than if we're subponeaed, that is).
ARE WE DONE YET?The answer is yes. We wish you the best of luck in winning, and if you do, we hope you have a great time at this year's Oregon State Fair.
